The Physical Plant Department within the Facilities Management Division provides a variety of services to the university. Facilities Services provides carpentry, moving, keys and lock service, signs, and vehicle repair, while the Utilities Department is responsible for managing and maintaining all university boilers and heating plants, energy management, HVAC and fire alarm controls troubleshooting and repair, HVAC and electrical equipment maintenance through the Central Mechanical-Electrical group, and oversight of the customer service and operations center for the Physical Plant.
